There was an urgent need for separate bibliography on the subject of Social Sciences and folk culture. Cognizant of this need, Lok Virsa commissioned a student to compile an annotated bibliography encompassing all existing material on the subject.
The author traces the history of the craft processes involved in its manufacture. The resulting obviation of composing and repeated proofing has resulted in a more rapid access to result of research, apart from being more cost effective.
This is a descriptive study of a furniture manufacturing center in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. Topic covered in this study will include the development of the woodcraft, styles of furniture and method of production.
This short report on kite flying is also an early attempt at this series to highlight the different aspects of kite flying and the art of kite making associated with it. Another object of this report is to provide information about kite flying to the people of the areas of the country where this hobby is not so popular.
