North of the lake created by the great Tarbela Dam looms the forbidding territory of the black Mountain. ‘Tor Ghara’ and ‘Kala Dhaka’ in Hindkoh are its local names, both of which mean ‘Black Mountain’. This report is based on a visit to the area by a Lok Virsa field researcher.
